Abstract
The energy spectra of heavy quark bound states are analyzed using the error-function-type potential and the one-gluon-exchange Coulomb-type force. The Debye screening mass at finite temperature and density is s tudied in the thermofield dynamics approach The critical temperature a nd critical energy density for J/psi dissociation in hot and dense mat ter are obtained.
