Abstract
Structural characterization of the bimetallic complex [(PY)2Yb(SeC6H5) 2(mu-SeC6H5)2Li(py)2] shows that phenylselenolato ligands are sufficie ntly electronegative to function as the only anionic ligands in a Yb(I II) complex.
