Abstract
Stratiomicrodon, gen. n., is proposed for Stratiomys convexa Wulp, fro m Argentina. The new genus differs from Stratiomys in the following ch aracters : head narrower than thorax and prominent in profile; antenna l flagellum with four flagellomeres; scutellar spines approximated and placed in the median third of the posterior border of the scutellum.
