Venous stent placement is widely accepted as the treatment of stenoses
caused by external tumour compression to reduced clinical sequelae. W
e report percutaneous stent placement into a severely obstructed right
pulmonary artery in a 73-year-old female patient. The underlying dise
ase was a medistinal tumour mass of unknown aetiology. Pulmonary perfu
sion was successfully but temporarily restored by the intervention.
