Abstract
A common hypothesis in the study of turbulent premixed flames has been to consider that small scales participate in the renormalization of t he turbulent flame speed, but do not renormalize the turbulence at lar ger scales. We study here a simple model where this hypothesis can be shown to be qualitatively false.
