Multiphoton ionization rates from the dressed 1s sigma(g)(+) and 2p si
gma(u)(+) states of H-2(+) are calculated within the Floquet approach.
For linearly polarized light, and parallel transitions, we determine
ionization rates for a range of internuclear separations. A rich struc
ture of multiphoton resonances has been found. These features are not
reproduced by quasistatic field models. The values of ionization rates
as well as their bond-length dependence are studied and compared with
wave-packet calculations. Differences between results and reasons for
discrepancies are discussed. Finally, we present plots of dressed-sta
te wave-function densities in order to illustrate laser-induced orbita
l hybridization.
