Abstract
A new steroid cholest-4-ene-3 alpha, 6 beta-diol together with the kno wn cholest-4-ene-3-one, lauric acid and o-phthalic acid bis-(2-ethyl n onyl)-ester were isolated from the red, alga Acantophora spicifera.
