Abstract
TWENTY-THREE CHILDREN UNDER the age of 6 1/2 years developed immediate unilateral weakness after an apparently minor head injury. Computed t omography disclosed a hypodense lesion in the basal ganglia. The lesio n appeared to be caused by an infarct in the basal ganglia. All but on e of the children recovered completely within 4 months.
