Abstract
The static magnetic susceptibilities of Mg fine particles have been me asured by Faraday method, varying the temperature from 2 to 300K and t he magnetic field up to 5T. The experimental results show diamagnetic deviation of fine particles from bulk magnetization in the higher fiel d region than approximately 1T. It suggests size dependent saturation of paramagnetism or enhancement of diamagnetism in a high magnetic fie ld.
