Abstract
A solar pond of area 5.712 m(2) was constructed. It was filled with wa ter to a height of 87.5 cm. The stability of density and temperature p rofile, Variation of salt flux due to temperature and depth, temperatu re loss during night time, and the evaporation losses at the surface w ere analyzed.
