A patient with mirror movements associated with cervical meningocele h
as been presented in this report. The MRI showed normal cerebrum and c
ervical meningocele, and an anomaly at the posterior to the cervical s
pinal cord-medulla junction. Unilateral transcranial magnetic stimulat
ion evoked bilateral responses at similar latencies on the thenar musc
les which are quite different from those observed in normal subjects.
This case adds another etiological cause to the mirror movements.
