Abstract
A comparison has been made between features of low-lying states of a f our-electron dot and a 2-dimensional four-alpha-particle system. A ser ies of qualitative features are revealed to be identical. We stress th e importance of quantum mechanical symmetries iri the understanding of quantum mechanical few-body systems.
