Ya. Berlin et Lda. Siebbeles, ENERGY RELAXATION DURING THERMALLY ACTIVATED DIFFUSION ALONG ONE-DIMENSIONAL CHAINS WITH SITE DISORDER, Chemical physics letters, 291(1-2), 1998, pp. 85-93
The energy relaxation during thermally activated diffusion along one-d
imensional chains with equally spaced traps of random energy depths ha
s been studied both analytically and by computer simulations. Several
time intervals, where the mean particle energy exhibits distinct tempo
ral and temperature behaviors, have been identified. The explicit form
s of these dependencies within each of the intervals are specified. Th
e results show that the relaxation of the mean particle energy and the
time evolution of the average barrier height, probed by diffusing par
ticles, follow a logarithmic law rather than the Kohlrausch-Williams-W
att phenomenology. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
