Jm. Ward et I. Breitwieser, SYSTEMATICS OF NEW-ZEALAND INULEAE (COMPOSITAE) - 4 A TAXONOMIC REVIEW, New Zealand Journal of Botany, 36(2), 1998, pp. 165-171
An evaluation is presented of the exceptionally large number of name c
hanges, particularly of generic attribution, proposed for New Zealand
gnaphalioid taxa, principally in the past decade. The transfer of cert
ain New Zealand species to Anaphalioides, Euchiton, and Pseudognaphali
um is supported, but some other changes, including the establishment o
f Ewartiothamnus, the resurrection of Psychrophyton, and the relocatio
n of New Zealand species of Helichrysum, require (and are now receivin
g) further study.
