B. Doudin et al., MAGNETIC AND TRANSPORT-PROPERTIES OF ELECTRODEPOSITED NANOSTRUCTURED NANOWIRES, IEEE transactions on magnetics, 34(4), 1998, pp. 968-972
The electrodeposition of nanostructures in the cylindrical pores of me
mbranes is shown to provide a rich array of possibilities for the inve
stigation of spin transport and magnetic properties of magnetic nanost
ructures. Examples from the activity of the group are reviewed and the
latest results reported : the giant magnetoresistance of a single wir
e, the coercivity of chains of grains, the detection of magnetization
switching in single nanowires, the characterization of crystalline mic
rostructure by Co-NMR.
