Abstract
Real and imaginary components of inductance of as cast, amorphous wire s of nominal composition (Co0.94Fe0.06)(72.5) B15Si12.5 were measured as a function of frequency at room temperature, in the 5Hz-13MHz frequ ency range, with an ac current of 0.86 mA in amplitude (RMS), An axial de magnetic field, Hdo with values in the 0-6,400 A/m range was simul taneously applied. The changes produced by the de magnetic field are a nalyzed by using an equivalent circuit approach. The obtained results are interpreted in terms of a circumferential domain wall damping prod uced by the de field.
