THE MIGRATING SPILLED STONE

Two cases of late complications of laparoscopic cholecystectomy follow ing parietal breach are reported. The escaped unretrievable infected l ost gallstones behave subsequently like foreign bodies and migrate out of the peritoneal cavity. Two patients presented seven months and two years later with abscesses containing stones. Early recognition and e ffective surgical treatment are the only guarantee of success.
