Abstract
A new method is reported for the activity measurement of (198)AU in go ld foils. The coincidence counting equations are examined. From these the experimental conditions necessary to ensure accurate results are o btained. These conditions are achieved by careful choice of NaI(TI) cr ystals and gamma-ray absorbers. The uncertainty components amounted to 0.15% for type A and 0.3% for type B. (C) 1998 Published by Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
