Abstract
The review, based on studies by the authors and literature published o n the subject, deals with several aspects (etiology, epidemiology, pat hogenesis clinical signs: diagnosis, prophylactics and therapy) of fel ine immunodeficiency virus (FIV) infection. It also describes the FIV infection as an ideal model for the study of human acquired immunodefi ciency syndrome (AIDS).
