A. Vancleempoel et al., AEROSOL SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF ULTRAFINE FULLERENE PARTICLES, Fullerene science and technology, 6(4), 1998, pp. 599-627
Aerosol routes were used to produce fullerene particles in the nanomet
er size range. Particle formation mechanisms at processing temperature
s of 400-700 degrees C were studied by measuring particle number and m
ass size distributions in the gas phase by a differential mobility ana
lyzer and a low-pressure impactor respectively. Subsequently, the foil
s of the impactor onto which fullerene particles were collected were e
xamined by HPLC.
