B. Agroyannis et al., MANAGEMENT OF CLAUDICATION AND HYPERTENSION BY STENT IMPLANTATION IN A RENAL-TRANSPLANT RECIPIENT, Journal of human hypertension, 12(6), 1998, pp. 417-418
Graft artery stenosis is one of the main causes of hypertension in ren
al transplant recipients. We present a rare case of severe common ilia
c artery stenosis, proximal to the graft artery, that was the cause of
accelerated hypertension and claudication in a male renal transplant
recipient. After percutaneous balloon angioplasty combined with a Palm
az stent implantation, a dramatic improvement of hypertension and clau
dication was observed during a 10-month follow-up period.
