Abstract
The application of ternary and multicomponent complexes in spectrophot ometric and spectrofluorimetric determination of trace elements is rev iewed. Newer types of colour systems employing mixed ligand, surfactan t sensitized, ion-association, flotation, derivative and FIA systems a re described. Separate sections are devoted to advances in both spectr ophotometric and spectrofluorimetric determination of individual eleme nts.
