Abstract
Magnesium bis(dihydrogenorthophosphate) tetrahydrate contains four-mem bered rings made up of two [PO4] tetrahedra and two [MgO6] octahedra s haring corners. These rings are joined through the [MgO6] octahedra an d are alternately twisted by approximately 90 degrees to form an infin ite linear chain.
