Abstract
The Bi atom in the title compound, (CH6N3)(2)[Bi-(C18H25N4O12)].4H(2)O , is nine-coordinated through four N and five O atoms of the ttha liga nd, where ttha denotes triethylenetetraminehexaacetate. The noncoordin ated COOH group is involved in a strong hydrogen bond with an O atom o f a neighbouring complex, thereby forming dimeric units.
