Abstract
The piperidine ring in the title compound, C22H25NO3, adopts a distort ed-boat conformation. Some conjugation of the lone pair of the N atom with the carbonyl group is observed. The two phenyl rings form dihedra l angles of 88.9(1) and 79.1(1)degrees with the best plane through the piperidine ring.
