Abstract
Assuming that the zero point angular momentum is conserved the phenome non of zero point spin reduction (ZPSR) has been explained pictorially using the mechanism of spin motion. Field independence and the gradua l suppression of ZPSR corresponding to the external magnetic field app lied parallel and perpendicular to the antiferromagnetic axis respecti vely, are also discussed.
