Abstract
Nineteen new species in the lichen genus Pertusaria are described from Papua New Guinea. The new species are: Pertusaria allogibberosa, P. a ngabangensis, P. aptrootii, P. atrospilota, P. balekensis, P. bogia, P . hypoprotocetrarica, P. inconspicua, P. karkarensis, P. laeana, P. ma namensis, P. myola, P. naduriensis, P. novaeguineae, P. papuana, P. pa rmatica, P. perthwaitesii, P. sipmanii, and P. yupna. Pertusaria irreg ularis Mull. Arg. and P. petrophyes C. Knight are reported for the fir st time from the same region. A revised key to the species of Pertusar ia occurring in Papua New Guinea is given.
