Abstract
Thysanophora verrucosa sp. nov., a conidial fungus found on dead leave s of Musa sp. from Cuba, is described and illustrated. It is character ized by distinctly verrucose conidiophores and phialides. We list also seven other interesting hyphomycetes collected in Pinar del Rio provi nce, Cuba, mostly new records for the mycobiota of this country. A key to the Thysanophora species is provided. Furthermore, a new combinati on of Thysanophora and a new variety of Intercalarispora nigra are pro posed.
