Abstract
This study was performed on 72 patients with head and neck squamous ce ll carcinoma. Total lymphocyte, natural killer cell and total lymphocy te subpopulation levels in peripheral blood were determined and the co rrelation of these levels with TNM and Histopathologic Malignancy Grad ing (HMG) systems were investigated. TNM and HMG systems, which are tw o important prognostic indicators, were significantly correlated where as total lymphocyte, natural killer cell and total lymphocyte subpopul ation levels in peripheral blood had no correlation with TNM and HMG s cores.
