GEOPHYSICAL CONTRIBUTION TO THE STUDY OF BRACCIANO LAKE

A Uniboom survey was carried out in Bracciano Lake (Northern Latium) i n order to obtain further information about its structural and morphol ogical features. The authors give an updated geophysical interpretatio n of the lake by combining the findings of the seismic survey with tho se from gravity and magnetometric prospecting. Through seismic section s, obtained by developing a new bathymetric map, some sedimentary and volcanic structures were identified. (C) 1998 INQUA/Elsevier Science L td. All rights reserved.
