Vb. Strelets et al., PHYSIOLOGICAL-CHARACTERISTICS OF THE EXAMINATION STRESS IN STUDENTS, Zurnal vyssej nervnoj deatelnosti im. I.P. Pavlova, 48(3), 1998, pp. 458-463
The EEG spectral power characteristics and intracortical interactions
were studied using brain mapping technique in students selected by the
ir high level of anxiety and predisposition to stress. Before the exam
ination, the activation of the anterior areas of the right hemisphere
was higher than in norm by both indices. After the examination, the ac
tivation of these areas decreased. The obtained results, probably, ref
lect the neurophysiological dynamics of psychoemotional stress.
