Abstract
Symptomatic cryoglobulinaemia is infrequent in HIV-1-infected patients , but a few cases have been described [1-3], occasionally associated w ith hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection [1, 3], These cases showed rheum atologic [1] or neurologic manifestations [2, 3], but until now no cut aneous symptoms associated with cryoglobulinaemia in HIV-infected pati ents have been described. We report what we believe to be the first ca se of cutaneous, symptomatic cryoglobulinaemia in an HIV-1-positive pa tient, who, in addition, was HCV-negative.
