The dependency of rheological parameters changes as a function of poly
saccharide concentration. The power-law parameters of methylan solutio
ns, consistency index (K) and flow behavior index (n), can be expresse
d according to methylan concentration (P) using the empirical power-ty
pe correlation K = AP(B) and the linear relationship n = C - D log P.
The dependence of power-law parameters on polysaccharide concentration
can be used to determine the transition concentration at which rheolo
gical properties change from dilute to concentrated solution behavior.
