Abstract
Excess molar volumes (V-E) of mixtures of 2,5,8-trioxanonane (diglyme) + n-hexane, n-heptane, n-octane and c-hexane were determined from den sity measurement at 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 degrees C. The V-E are posit ive over the entire composition range for all mixtures and they were c orrelated by means of the Redlich-Kister equation. The experimental ex cess molar volume and that calculated from the Flory theory were also compared.
