Abstract
High-harmonic generation from He atoms illuminated by high-intensity f emtosecond KrF laser pulses is studied. It is shown that single attose cond pulses as well as trains of several attosecond pulses: one per ha lf-a-period, can be generated in the several-cycle regime of the inten se driver pulse.
