SURVEY ON THE CONNECTION BETWEEN THE HOSP ITAL CENTER AND THE PEDIATRIC PRACTITIONERS IN THE OUTPATIENT MANAGEMENT OF HIV-POSITIVE CHILDREN

Due to the increasing number of HIV-positive children, a strict connec tion between the referring hospital centers and the pediatric practiti oners is developing. To address this emerging trend, a collaborative s tudy in the 1992 march-may period has been performed by mailing to eac h pediatric practitioner in the main towns of our region a specific qu estionnaire indagating the degree of personal knowledge and profession al sensibility toward the question. Most interviewed pediatricians con firmed the will to rake care of HIV patients along with the demand for a close collaboration with the specialistic hospital department.
