By depositing ferromagnetic gratings on top of two-dimensional electro
n gases (2DEG), it is possible to generate periodic magnetic fields on
a submicron scale in the plane of the electrons. Here, we show that t
he amplitude of the periodic magnetic held can be notably enhanced if
the externally applied magnetic field B-0 is tilted towards the plane
