We examine the use of holography to correct aberrated optical elements
with different write and read beam wavelengths. The wavefront correct
ion is obtained using nondegenerate four wave mixing in a thin saturab
le absorber. We show, for the first time, quantitative agreement betwe
en the corrected wavefront error and theory for a range of reading bea
m wavelengths that are up to a factor of two larger than the writing b
