Abstract
We examine the use of holography to correct aberrated optical elements with different write and read beam wavelengths. The wavefront correct ion is obtained using nondegenerate four wave mixing in a thin saturab le absorber. We show, for the first time, quantitative agreement betwe en the corrected wavefront error and theory for a range of reading bea m wavelengths that are up to a factor of two larger than the writing b eam wavelength.
