Abstract
A reaction of nitrogen insertion in the molecule of 3,4,3',4'-bis(ethy lenedithio)-2,2',5,5' across the C-S bond with expansion of the hetero cycle to the six-membered one was found. Crystal and molecular structu re of the product was determined (C10H8N2S8 , 1335 reflections, R = 0. 026). The crystals are monoclinic, a = 4.379, b = 11.404 c = 15.2137 A ngstrom , beta = 92.05 degrees, Z = 2 space group P2(1)/n.
