Zd. Xiao et al., THE INFLUENCE OF NEW BINDING STATE OF DYE-MOLECULES TO TIO2 ELECTRODESURFACE ON IPCE PERFORMANCE, Journal of physics and chemistry of solids, 59(6-7), 1998, pp. 911-914
A ruthenium polypyridine complex has been prepared in which carbonyl,
rather than carboxylic groups are used for the attachment of the compl
ex to the TiO2 surface. The surface attached complex was characterized
by IR, UV-visible and photoaction spectroscopy which provided evidenc
e for efficient surface binding and interfacial electron transfer. A r
elatively high IPCE performance suggests that a new series of dyes can
be utilized for the development of sensitizing electrodes for solar c
onversion devices. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
