Abstract
A self-consistent kinetic lattice gas model for surface morphological transformation during ultra-high vacuum deposition (UHVD) at submonola yer coverage is studied. The possibility for the formation of stable a rrays of self-assembled nanostructures is shown. Within a range of par ameters, islands have very narrow size distribution and are arranged i n a periodic lattice. (C) 1998 Published by Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
