Abstract
In this paper two distinct methods, an impedance method and a ''conven tional'' method, for modeling the dynamic interaction between the piez oelectric actuators/sensors and the substructures are summarized It is demonstrated that both methods yield equivalent models for the beam w ith piezoceramic actuation. The pros and cons of each technique are di scussed.
