S. Bednarek, THE GIANT MAGNETORESISTANCE IN A FERROMAGNETIC SUSPENSION, Materials science & engineering. B, Solid-state materials for advanced technology, 54(3), 1998, pp. 196-201
A short review of the magnetoresistance magnitudes of various types of
materials is given in the introduction of the article. It is followed
by a description of the way a special ferromagnetic suspension is pro
duced. The suspension consists of silicon steel particles with dimensi
ons of 0.15-0.20 mm, and graphite particles with dimensions not bigger
than 5 x 10(-7) m. The particles with given dimensions were dispersed
in the non-polymerized epoxy resin. An experimental set-up constructi
on was described and the results of magnetoresistance measurements of
this type of suspension with different contents of silicon steel and g
raphite particles were shown. The obtained results are discussed in th
e final part of the article. (C) 1998 Published by Elsevier Science S.
