Abstract
Recent studies have revealed the existence of intrarenal renin-angiote nsin system and broadened our understanding on the role of angiotensin II in the regulation of proximal tubular functions. The aims of the p resent review are to summarize these recent findings and to highlight new questions that have arisen therefrom.
