M. Yoshida et al., CHARGE-TRANSPORT PROPERTY IN THE LYOTROPIC LIQUID-CRYSTALLINE CELL COMPOSED OF CARBAZOLYL GROUPS PENDANT POLY(GLUTAMATE), JPN J A P 2, 37(7A), 1998, pp. 802-803
Polypeptide having carbazolyl groups (poly-gamma-[2-(9-carbazolyl) eth
yl]-L-glutamate) (PCLG) was synthesized in order to prepare a lyotropi
c liquid crystalline cell with higher mobility. Typical Time-Of-Flight
(TOF) method was employed to analyze its charge transport property. T
ransient photocurrent for the liquid crystalline cell showed nondisper
sive transport property. Relatively high drift mobility of ca.10(-3) (
cm(2)/V.s) was obtained in the cell composed of PCLG with both intra a
nd interchain ordered structure.
