Abstract
Methods have been developed recently for the preparation of monodisper se ellipsoidal polystyrene particles which also allow the axial ratio to be varied. Electrophoretic examination of these particles raised th e possibility of a nonuniform surface charge distribution. Heterocoagu lation of small spherical cationic particles onto the surface of the a nionic ellipsoidal particles has been used to explore this possibility . (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V.
