Abstract
This work deals with a modified formulation of the Radon transform for the evaluation of refractive index profiles in inhomogeneous media by using data obtained with deflection tomography techniques. The theore tical results are supported by numerical simulations and analysis of t he noise propagation is presented. Under this formulation we will show that good reconstructions of index profiles are achieved by using a s mall number of projections, with a subsequent fast data processing.
