Anisotropy of the Nernst effect, of the transport entropy, and of the
thermal Hall angle are reported for the first time in high critical te
mperature superconductors, A Pb free textured Bi2223 system has been c
hosen and a field range between 0 and 4 T. The influence of the magnet
ic-field direction with respect to the layered structure is emphasized
. The relative evolution of the transport effects is discussed. A much
stronger influence of the magnetic field along the c- than the a-axis
is demonstrated, We consider various routes of interest for theoretic
ally investigating the Nernst effect and the related quantities' aniso
tropy, suggesting, beside the time-dependent Ginzburg-Landau formalism
, to take also into account the anisotropy of the carrier relaxation t
ime and density, and basically the anisotropy of the penetration depth
.
