Abstract
Although there has been much excitement generated by the potential of expanding skin in culture, clinical progress in this area has been slo w. This article reviews current trends in skin replacement research, i ncluding the use of cultured skin materials, acellular skin replacemen t products, and other potential methods to resurface wound areas.
