An automatic vacuum compensatory magnetic microbalance is described. T
he device is intended for measuring temperature dependences of the sat
uration magnetization and magnetic susceptibility of ferromagnetic mat
erials with a mass of similar to 1 mg, in a temperature range of 300-1
100 K, in a 1 mPa vacuum, and in air. The error of measuring the satur
ation magnetization is less than or equal to 1%. The device was used f
or determining the Curie temperature of ferromagnetic materials.
